Whistler U will be located on the area known as the Alpha Lands. This site is directly acroos highway 99 from the Spring Creek development at the entrance to the Municipality. The 77 acre site is made up of second growth forested and scrub covered land including a small portion of wetland on the southern end. Environmental studies have defined three benches as ideal building sites and it is on these that the University would be located. The wetlands would be protected and preserved for future generations. The area required for this development is less than 25% of the total site and would be built in manner that was unobtrusive to those arriving by road into the Municipality. The schematic below indicates the limited area upon which the University would be built.
