PROGRAMS: Blue Ribbon Committee Plan

It is our intent to establish a local "Blue Ribbon" Committee to advise on the program needs of the community. The programs listed here reflect our need to serve both the local community but even more so the international community whom we expect to draw to the Resort for full and part time learning. All programs fall under six major themes that align well with the vision of the resort (see chart below).

In the case of full time students, each would be required to complete a work experience component within the community thereby bringing a whole new dimension to the seasonal labour force requirements. Because these students would be in on campus housing, this would also relieve the pressure on employee housing.

Another unique aspect of this University would be the scheduling which would enable students to complete a degree in less time than the traditional university. It can also be scheduled to match the seasonal requirements of the Resort.

Finally the programs offered are designed around the matrix below which directs our efforts to program themes most of which connect directly with the sustainability direction that the vision for the resort emphasizes.
